Review: Plough and Stars - $5
As soon as we walked in, a friend asked who was playing. I said, "well it sounds like Morphine, that sax is unmistakeable," knowing it couldn't possibly be. Come to find out, this is the same sax player, and he
truly is unmistakeable. I had always wanted to see Morphine and was never able to, so this performance was really a privilege. Sadly, we also found out this would be the last show for AKACOD. But a grand exit it was, complete with a second set of tunes that warp your mind into a smoke-hazed opium den. I was transferred far away from the bar and into the mind of Dana Colley and his baritone horn. I hope he finds a new project because one dose wasn't enough. AKACOD, R.I.P.
