Review: Queen of Hearts Boat - $25
What is Bioluminescence II you might ask? This rave on a boat is the unique product of the Disorient Collective, a mostly NY based Burning man camp, who use these parties in the City as a means of raising funds for their Black Rock City endeavors. This underwater themed boat party was a sight to be seen from the start, walking up to the pier from the West Side Highway you could already see half naked people running around with glow sticks and El-wire embedded outfits, most of whom already looked spun before even boarding the three-story party boat. Much to our surprise this thing had sold out weeks earlier, and was certainly filling up with what seemed to be a somewhat diversified mixture of crazies from both Burning man and New York City. We weren't

sure if it was going to happen, but by the time this ship set sail, we knew we were in for a long night. With three floors of various types of electronic music, including some good glitch, loads of nutty looking people, some even letting it all hang loose and running around naked to their hearts content. The highlight of my night was passing by the statue of Liberty while the bass thumped, strobes flashed, and girls made out. So if you're looking to take a peek into the world of Burning man madness without leaving the city, or if you just want to catch a glimpse of some tit (or squeeze some like I did), then you might want to check out one these parties. But be forewarned: Once we got aboard this ship we were ON this ship, till 4 am, so you may wan't to start out with a party on land if you know what I'm sayin.
